Date Adjustment Announced for End of Second Trimester
As a result of the four cold and snow days that have been called so far in January and February, an adjustment to the end of the second trimester has been made. Second trimester was originally scheduled to end on Friday, February 27th, and report cards were scheduled to go home on Friday, March 6th.

Second trimester will now end on Friday, March 6th and report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 13th. Read more...

School District 21 hires two new district leaders
On Thursday, February 19, 2015, the Board of Education approved the hiring of Mary Werling as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Carlie Owens as the Director of Student Services. Both Ms. Werling and Ms. Owens will begin in their new positions on July 1, 2015, for the 2015-2016 school year. Read more...

Dates Announced for 2015-2016 Kindergarten & New First Grade Registration
Registration for 2015-2016 kindergarten students, as well as first grade students who will be new to School District 21 in the fall of 2015, will begin on February 3, 2015. Registration will be accepted on weekdays at local elementary schools when school is in session, between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

2015-2016 school calendar set
At the January 2015 School District 21 Board of Education meeting, the 2015-2016 school year calendar was approved. Following a schedule with school vacations in line with Township High School District 214, the calendar provides a similar structure to recent school years.

New interactive breakfast and lunch menus now available
New to the School District 21 Food Service program this month is Nutrislice, an interactive menu through Chartwells that provides detailed information on menu items, nutritional details and allergy information.

Families can access the menus from the Parents’ area on the District website, www.ccsd21.org, or directly at this link. The website works equally well on a desktop or laptop computer or on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Read more...

At the January 2015 Board of Education meeting, the School District 21 Board approved a resolution in support of Illinois Vision 20/20.
