On April 7, 2009, municipal elections were held in Cook County, including elections for local School Boards. School District 21 had four of its seven Board seats that were being contested in this election. Three current District 21 School Board members ran for, and won, re-election. They are: Bill Harrison, Arlen S. Gould, and Phil Pritzker. Filling the vacancy created by the retirement of current Board member Rich Rosen is Elva Arreola. These four Board members, joining Staci Allan, Pamela Becker-Dean, and Kathy Edmonds, will convene as a new Board of Education at a special meeting to be held on April 30, 2009 at 7.00 PM.
