Thank you, Parents, for Your Survey Responses
School District 21 has completed an important Parent Survey for the first time using SchoolMessenger, our parent notification system. In the survey, conducted on Friday, January 14, 2011, we inquired about families' access to the Internet at home and via cellular telephones. This data is critical for the completion of our State and Federally mandated Technology Plan. We had anticipated that this survey, which took less than 3 minutes for parents to complete, would continue to call throughout Friday evening and in to Saturday. In actuality, it took less than 2 hours to distribute to all families throughout District 21. We want to thank all of the families who participated in this survey.
As a reminder, SchoolMessenger will be used for us to notify parents about school closing in the case of inclement weather, for other emergency situations, to remind parents of important district-wide events, and to conduct district-wide surveys such as the one completed today. To help ensure that District 21 parents receive this information, parents verified their telephone and emergency contact information at Fall Conferences. At any time, you are welcome to update that information in your son or daughter's school office with the office staff.
