After eighth grade, District 21 students move on to Township High School District 214. District 21 students typically attend either Buffalo Grove High School or Wheeling High School depending upon where they live.

School District 21 is also part of Harper Community College's district. Harper Community College, which is located in Palatine, features a full range of degree and non-degree courses and programs.
